About the Project
If you've found yourself here, you're likely already a huge fan of the Trails in the Sky games and have replayed or re-experienced them more than a few times, or a curious newcomer looking into the series for the first time, in which case, I can't recommend the series enough. The story, setting, lore and characters are all carefully crafted, even among JRPGs, while the varied approaches, missable items, and sidequests add a layer of replayability to the games. Several mods exist for the games as well, and though they aren't comparable to the story altering, DLC sized mods of Bethesda titles, they still offer a more immersive and memorable playthrough. One such mod is particularly impressive and ports the Japanese voice acting of the Trails Evolution remasters to the PC ports of the Trails in the Sky series. That particular mod got me thinking, "If it the Japanese voices could be added, couldn't English voice acting be added as well?" And thus began an arduous year-and-a-half-long journey into the world (read: game files) of Trails in the Sky, and the First Chapter of that journey is coming to a close. It was a frustrating, grueling, but overall fun process, and I am finally ready to share some of the results.
The English voice-over patch for Trails in the Sky FC is currently in progress as we speak, with the Prologue of Trails in the Sky FC already completed and available to download under the Downloads tab. More chapters will be coming on a semi-regular basis as they are completed, with the plan that FC will be completed before the end of the year, and work on SC, and eventually, The 3rd, can begin. I've sunk more than 500 hours of my life into this project, and truly believe the results are something special that fans of the Trails series will love. I've had the incredible privilege of working with an amazingly talented group of voice actors that have helped me bring this passion project, and the characters of Trails in the Sky, to life, to say nothing of the extra assitance they've provided me through coding, audio, scripting, and pronunciations. I seriously can't thank them enough for putting up with my controlling process, nitpickiness, and the many delays throughout this past year and a half. I have fallen in love with their voices for these characters, and I hope that all of you will find their performances as enthralling as I do.

I have just completed chapter 1 of Trails in the Sky and I am fully in love with the game's world, characters and story! I've also loved the English dub of the main story, without it I wouldn't feel nearly as attaches as I am to these characters! When I booted up chapter 2 I noticed Japanese lines playing so I began to research, lo and behold I forgot to read the text on the website stating it's coming soon. It seems it has been a work in progress for a very long time and honestly you are doing god's work. I hope it comes out soon and I wish you guys the best of luck as I know schedules…

Hi, I am genuinely impressed by your efforts here. I have just started (newbie) this game and from some video, I heard about you guys. Your really doing a great job, and I wonder when will you guys release the 2nd & 3rd parts....I can't even thank you enough.
I just found this project a few days ago and wanted to comment to say how “AMAZING” this is! I haven’t played Trails in the Sky FC for ages but seeing the videos of the voice acting made me go back and revisit this classic! Estelle’s voice actor puts so much energy into the character and really brings her to life. When I first heard Sean’s voice actor I wasn’t too sure but after playing through for 5 minutes I now can’t image him sounding any other way. Schera’s voice actor also nails the tone and mood for her. Thanks to all the team for bring this great game to life even more – I hope you manage to finish…
What exactly is the point of this when the game already has official English voice acting from Stephanie Sheh, Johnny Yong Bosh and others? Isn't a project like this kind of pointless?
